Ⅲ introduction
The Challenge of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games
The Games of the 29th Olympiad in 2008 are awarded to Beijing, China. With the motto "New Beijing, Great Olympics", Beijing promises to host a "Green Olympics", "Hi-tech Olympics" and "People's Olympics". One of the reasons why Chinese like Olympic Games and always appreciate its purposes, principles and ideal is that the Olympic Games are helpful to promote the world peace. The Chinese Government and people are sparing no efforts to prepare for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games to sparkplug the world peace and enhance the relationships among the nations in the world. The Olympic spirit is sure to be carried forward in ancient China with brilliant culture. Another reason is that China’s authorities try to show the extraordinary achievements that China has made in the last few decades to people living both inside and outside of China by the Olympics Games. Although all the people in the world hope to hold the Olympic Games successfully and implement the Olympic spirit, yet there still are some problems or crises challenging to the green, high-tech and people’s Olympics.
Using the research methods of literature and material, I analyses the challenges from six aspects, which are boycott, politics, violence, food safety, traffic and environment. On one hand, I introduces some facts taken places during some past Olympic Games to suggest the possibility; on the other hand, according to the Chinese unique position, I also describes some special crises that Beijing maybe face. Furthermore, many proposals are tabled to reply to these challenges properly and skillfully.

Ⅳ boycott
The intervention of the notorious Nazis during the Berlin summer Olympic Game in 1936 is considered as one of the most awful problems in the Olympic history up to now. It caused a political revolution not only over the European bottom, but also in the whole world. As a world-wide event, the Olympic Games always draw attention of all the people on all levels. Therefore, each incident can steer diplomatic concern over the world. In 1936, the Nazis chose the Olympic Games as the platform for the reproduction of theirs radical views. The Soviet Union had not participated in the Olympic Games until the event in 1952 in Helsinki. The Olympic Games of Melbourne 1956 were the first Games that became boycott through the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland, as a consequence, the repression of the Hungarian Uprising was through the Soviet Union; moreover, Cambodia, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, the games boycott because of the Suez Crisis[1]. In 1976, as a consequence of pressure of the peoples republic China (VRC), Canada told the team of the Republic China (Taiwan) that she wanted not to compete on the Olympic Games of Montreal under the name "Republic China" despite a compromise that had granted Taiwan to use to make of the flag and the national anthem[2]. The Republic China refused and since then had not participated again until 1984 when Taiwan back under the name "Chinese Taipei" useing a special flag. Sixty-five nations refused to compete on the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980, as a consequence, the Soviet-invasion in Afghanistan, but 16 countries of western Europe on the Olympic Games in Moscow[3]. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) always walked in to solve all kinds of questions and troubles during the Olympic Games’ history.
Tibet
Ever since Beijing was announced as the host of the 2008 Summer Olympics, there have been calls to boycott the games due to the violence in Tibet. In recent weeks, those calls for boycott have grown louder and louder. However, ever since the situation in Tibet is becoming more horrible, boycotting the Games will not change anything. The nations in the world should embrace the games for what they’ve been for over a century.
The measure
In fact, some foreigners are ignorant of the true situation in Tibet. In spite of that no state has indicated a willingness to boycott the 2008 games, more foreign officials have voiced their objection to boycotting the Beijing Olympic Games by using the Tibet issue, for instance, US President George W. Bush, who inclined to support actions taken to protest of the Chinese government, declared: “I view the Olympics as a sporting event.”[4]
In my opinion, boycotting the Games only turns a blind eye. Embracing the Olympics could be the catalyst that brings the change and progress of China. How to deal with the boycott? In the first place, Chinese government should announce that it would allow foreign media to shoot live shots and broadcasts in Tibet before the Olympic Games, in order to uncover the lies of some foreign media and expose their fraud to the world. Second, Chinese government should monitor the activities of the plotting during the Olympics and initiate a campaign to protest the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics. Third, the government should promises to the IOC, regarding improvements in human rights.
Ⅴ Politics
Political affect with the Olympic Games by various occasions, and the most known is that of the Olympic summer game 1936 in Berlin, where the games began to be used as propaganda through the German Nazis. The second case is that the Soviet Union had not participated at the Olympic Games till the Olympic summer game in 1952 in Helsinki. On the contrary, the Soviets organized an international sport event named Spartakiads. Many athletes from communist organizations or close with them were chosen not to take part in or even excluded of participation at the Olympic Games, and in place participated at Spartakiads[5]. In addition, the third incident on a smaller scale took place on the 1968 Summer Olympic Game in Mexico City. Two American track-and-field athletes, Tommie Smith and John Carlos, that the Black Power salute on the victory stand of the 200-meter track and race order. In reaction to that the IOC has to steer the autocratic president, Avery Brundage told the United States Olympic Committee(USOC) either the two athletes home, or in the complete track and field team. The USOC chose for the former.[6] In a political administration that move flouts the mind of the Olympic movement, the government of the Islamic Republic Iran specific ordered athletes not to compete with in an Olympic fire, half final or final that athletes from Israel. On the Olympic Games of 2004, an Iran’s judoka refused to compete with an Israeli judoka in a heat against. When returned, the Iran’s judoka was welcomed to be a hero[7].
In order to treat the political security problem, the government should carry out political security guard training in its occupational education with great efforts to have more qualified personnel for the 2008 Olympic Games .Schools should also cooperate with political security guard companies to develop a series of job-oriented courses.

Ⅵ Violence
war
In history, three Olympiads had to pass without Olympic Games, because of the wars; as a consequence of world War I in 1916, the Games were annulled, and the summer and winter games by 1940 and 1944 were annulled because of the Second world War[8].
Terrorism
Terrorism has also been a threat for the Olympic Games in recent years and it attracts worldwide attention. In 1972, when the Summer Games in Munich, West-Germany, eleven Israeli Olympic team members who were taken as hostage by the Palestinian terrorist groups became Black September in a little known state as the bloodbath Munich. A liberation attempt led till the death of the nine kidnapped athletes who had not been killed prior to the rescues-just as that of a policeman, with five of the terrorists also were killed. During the Olympic summer game of 1996 in Atlanta, a bombardment on the Centennial Olympic Park killed two and wounded 111 people. The 2002 Winter Olympic Game in Salt Reprehend City became the first Olympic Games since the September 11th attacks in 2001. Olympic Games since then have required to blame a very high extent of safety on the fear for possible terrorist activities[9].
How to deal with the Violence?
Beijing government promised that the Beijing 2008 Olympics games will to be the most standout games historically. The games will make some profound effect on the process of many fields such as politics, economy and culture in our country consequentially. But, in the current, terrorism is raging all over the world. So, the Olympic Games are facing to serious threat of international terrorism increasingly because of its unique international political influence and breadth and intensity of its participants. In this grim situation, the anti-terrorist security of Olympic [...]
